Just curious if you have any idea about these two coins Sandy?
When I was a lad - I spent a LOT of time diving and one day found a wrecked boat on a reef. ![]() I did manage to find a couple clay sailors pipes and a pair of silver coins both dated 1627. It was prior to 1974 when the new laws about artifacts on shipwrecks came into being - so this was all I managed to get hold of before things changed and everything belonged to the crown, I moved away to the bush for the next 30 years and left the old wreck lie - so far I haven't heard of anyone else finding it. ![]() I've a suspicion they might be Dutch Guilders of Shellingen or stiuvers or something off a Dutch East Indiaman, but could be wrong. Have you got any idea? Cheers |

Eddie,
I am hopeless on World coins as I concentrate on the Australia issues but have a look at the links below and you might find them in there. Cheers. http://macollectiondemonnaies.ifrance.com/ http://www.mycoinpictures.com/ -------------------- Cheers
